 Ladies Summer Shootout Final

Sunday 8th of February, 2026.
What a fantastic day on the course for the Tathra Beach Country Club Ladies Summer Shootout Final — a competition that truly delivered drama right down to the final shot.

The Summer Shootout format sees players battle it out hole-by-hole, with one player eliminated at each hole, making every shot count.

This year, 10 finalists qualified after recording their best three scores from eight rounds, played by a strong field of 31 competitors.

 Elimination order
Trish Tarlinton | Shirley Toohill | Joyce Riddell | Patricia Daly |
Sally Armstrong | Lyn Hambilton | Alison Anderson | Janet Furnell

That left Noeline Bell and Wendy Rhodes to contest the final hole — and what a finish it was!

Both ladies finished with the same score, forcing a chip-off from the side. Remarkably, both chips finished the exact same distance from the pin. A second chip-off from a different location was required, where Wendy Rhodes emerged victorious, securing back-to-back Summer Shootout wins.

The action didn’t stop there, with the ladies heading to the 18th for a Nearest the Pin shootout, won by Sally Armstrong.

A huge thank you to Kerry Gardner for her wonderful sponsorship of the event, and to Tathra Little Bottler for donating the Nearest the Pin prize. It was terrific to see so many supporters on course cheering the ladies on.

Congratulations to all competitors — a brilliant display of skill, sportsmanship and composure under pressure
